The Goal:
Construct a believable, emotionally resonant narrative for the show's finale using only existing footage. The objective was to create a "viral" style trailer that retains viewer attention through emotive musical pacing, creating entirely new plotlines—including the death of a main character—through clever editing and manipulation.
The Challenge:
Visualizing scenes that didn't exist. The biggest hurdle was a VFX sequence depicting Eleven’s death; this required frame-by-frame manipulation in Photoshop to recolor a stand-in’s clothing and composite the iconic "011" tattoo onto a different arm. Additionally, recreating the signature 3D neon typography required a complex asset stack to perfectly match the show's lighting and texture standards. On the audio side, balancing the isolated vocals of "Running Up That Hill" against a new cinematic score required precise timing to ensure that it sounded seamlessly blended.
The Result
A cinematic experience that pushes the boundaries of concept editing. The seamless integration of Netflix-level production editing, custom VFX and intricate sound design, combined with the "Died In Your Arms" score, resulted in a high-engagement video that successfully conveyed the dark, emotional tone of the series finale.
